There's a lot to love about this little town tavern. Good wholesome food and good wholesome people. Daily soup specials and some good egg or tuna salad sandwiches. Liquor store attached to the back. Hidden gem in DeKalb.
All you prissy hipsters stay away. This is a good neighborhood hangout. Good food and great service. If our travels take us near we will stop again.
The place has been in business for over 75 years! I stopped in for lunch and had the mushroom swiss burger. It was good and you can't beat the price. I like the local family owned businesses and this place has that feel without a doubt.
The best fish fry in town EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK before 8:00 pm. It comes with French fries and coleslaw. They also have a small liquor store with good prices so go and treat yourself
I loved the food but an Italian beef served with American cheese is weird. It should always have mozzarella on it? Make sure you specify what type of cheese you want
We went there for lunch appetizers before the NIU game and liked the service, food, and prices we went back after the game for sandwiches. The ribeye sandwich and the tenderloin sandwich we very tasty. Good onion rings and waffle fties!
